About
Born from a mother’s love. Crafted with intention.
Aderou Skin began in our kitchen in Delaware, Ohio, with one simple goal — to create gentle, handcrafted soap for my children’s sensitive skin. As a mother, I wanted products made with simple ingredients I could trust, especially for my oldest son, Adane, who struggled with dry, delicate skin and eczema-prone skin. Store-bought products often felt too harsh, overly fragranced, or simply not comforting enough for our daily routine.
So I began making soap by hand in small batches from our kitchen, carefully choosing nourishing ingredients and creating simple recipes focused on gentle cleansing and skin comfort. What started as a homemade turmeric soap quickly became our family favorite — now known as Bare Gold, one of the very first bars that inspired our brand.
The name Aderou was created from the names of my sons, Adane and Rouie — a name that carries the heart of our family into every bar we make. From the beginning, this journey has always been deeply personal. It wasn’t just about soap; it was about care, comfort, and creating something meaningful for the people we love most.
As our family continued using the soaps, Adane often said, “Sharing is caring.” Because he knew what it felt like to struggle with sensitive skin, he wanted to share the products that helped him feel more comfortable and confident with others who experienced the same challenges. That heart behind our brand continues to inspire everything we do today.
Every Aderou Skin bar is still handcrafted in small batches with intention, using thoughtfully selected ingredients and timeless soap-making methods. While our products are not intended to treat or cure skin conditions, we create our soaps to provide a gentle, comforting cleanse for everyday skincare rituals.
What began in our kitchen has now become something we are honored to share with families everywhere — especially those looking for simple, handmade skincare crafted with love, care, and purpose.
From our family to yours, thank you for being part of our story.
